This week I have learnt . . .
Maths- How to find the area of quadrilaterals and triangles. To find the area of a quadrilateral you need to add the parallel lines together then divide by 2. That measurement is now the base of the quadrilateral and times that by the height = the area. A triangle is really half a rectangle. So, to find the area of a triangle you need to, times the height by the base and divide by two.
Writing- We have started writing a discussion argument about the ban of smoking in New Zealand Jails. I now know how to write a two sided argument.
Goals . . .
- To get into inter intermediate basketball. The trials are sometime next week.
- To write a good discussion argument that follows the success criteria. I will have to spend more time carefully editing my work.
