Year 7 reps !

Last Sunday I had a netball tournament for year 7 reps. The tournament carries on over 2 weeks but only on Sunday. We won two games and lost two. For the two games that we lost we only lost by three so we got bonus points. One team won all of their games. My team has to win all of our games next week or we won’t get a semi final. This was our third tournament all year. The first tournament in Auckland we got 5^th, our second tournament in Morrisville we got 3^rd we lost in extra time in the semi final.

On Sunday the 15^th of June year 7, 8, under 15 and under 17 reps all caught a bus to Auckland. We all were lucky enough to be selected for reps. So every now and then we get to go to different tournaments. I got into year 7 reps. My team did the best out of all the Te Awamutu teams. We drew our first game 8 all, won our second game 12-2 and lost our third game 20-8. We all had lots of fun but unfortunately no Te Awamutu teams got through to the semi finals. We all are very excited about our next tournament in two weeks in Morrisville. Hopefully we will do even better next time.

!!Dancing!! :)

These holidays I have dancing competitions in Hamilton. It is so much fun. I have four dances and I also have impromptu dances too.  My four dances are Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical and Musical theatre. I get a different costume for each dance.  I have a red, yellow, white and lots more I even have a rainbow coloured top.  For my Musical Theatre you get to dress up as a character from a musical. I chose Ursula the sea witch from The Little Mermaid. I ware the coolest wig its white with blue in it, face paint and I paint on really big lips and eye brows, I even were tentacles. I have so much fun. I have at least 3-4 competitions a year, Rotorua, Hamilton, Te Awamutu and more. It is so much fun getting dressed up and performing infrount of lots of people.

Inter Intermadiate Netball ! ! !

Last week I trialled for Inter Intermediate Netball. On Monday I found out that I got in! I was so excited. Now we have netball practice at 8:00 in the mornings before school, but only on Thursdays. Our first practice was today. That was so so so cold. I froze. It was good but it was only like 25 minutes long. It was kind of embarrassing too everyone started to arrive at school so they all watched us practice. I am really excited that I got in and my friends did too.  Its going to be so much fun.

Netball

Our last day of grading games for netball. Yay. We had 3 Saturdays of grading games. We started of in grade C-1. We had two 20 minute games each Saturday. We won both games on our first Saturday then we were moved up a grade. Lost one won one the next Saturday then lost both last Saturday. Now the 45 minute games begin! My team are playing Marist Fresh Choice. We played them twice in the grading games and only lost by one. Hopefully we win this Saturday. After the grading games we were put into grade B-3 which is quite good for a year 7 team. So I’m happy. I can not wait till Saturday comes its so exciting.

On Sunday the10th of May for Mothers Day Paul (my step dad) took us to a restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was called iguana. We all went my sister Jordyn, my brother Dion, Paul, Mum and I. We all had so much fun we ordered the nicest pizza and dessert then played pool. I absolutely suck at pool and everyone else was good but we still had fun. Apparently I rush too much, but I don’t. I suck so much, Dion had finished and I had only got one ball in. We all had a good laugh at my stupid shots. I made the ball jump over the one I wanted to hit. That was such a cool night.

Saturday Netball

It’s that time of year once again. NETBALL! Yay. For Netball this year I made a team with Awhina, a girl I met in year 6 reps, we each chose a couple of girls and made a team together. Our team was trialling for grade C1. Last week we had two grading games. Our first game was against another T.A.I team we won 8-1. Our second game we played adults and lost by one. This week we have been moved up to grade b3. Go us. I am so excited about netball this week. I play mainly GA and sometimes C but this year we only have two shooters so I might have to play GA for a hole season, which means a lot of practicing goals. We had practice on Tuesday this week and I didn’t get my goals in so I’m a little bit nervous. I am so so so excited about playing this Saturday.

Wow, that went so fast one activity after another. Everything was so rushed we didn’t have any time to breath. Late nights, early mornings. I’ve never been so tired. Room 3 of Te Awamutu Intermediate went on camp to Wellington. Some activities were really fun like the Dowse Gallery and the Sound House and others not so fun. We had a lot of fun even though we were really tired and a tad grumpy. We all got through it and enjoyed it. My favourite things were the Dowse Gallery, where we saw all the costumes they used in productions of Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel and more. Every costume was unique and special in their own ways. Another of my favourites was the Weta cave where we saw how people made sculptures with every detail possible. We even saw some of the finished products such as Gollum from Lord Of  The Rings, the beaver off Narnia and heaps more.

!!CAMP!!

Yay can’t wait until Sunday. Wellington here we come. For camp this year room 3 of  Te Awamutu Intermediate are going to Wellington.  The only down side to that is we have to leave on a Sunday and that it takes like 8 to 9 hours for us to get there. Once our really long journey down there is over we are going to have heaps of fun, we are going to so many different places we are going to the Zoo, were even making a class movie in a proper studio with the proper gear and the proper sound room. We have certain jobs I got a reporter which means my pretty face is going to be on the movie just joking. While room 3 are in Wellington we are going on another really long trip over to Picton on a ferry. Everyday we are over there is going to be packed of exciting activity’s. I can not wait, well actually I have to.
